2. Tomorrow's class- 10 minutes planning for our first Out of the Rain Cooking night- Wed. Nov. 5th. Start thinking of menus.

Today's class and the weeks to come

Today we will:
-Go over expectations for the next 2 weeks you will spend with Ms. Horn
-ensure everyone has their VERY IMPORTANT Article #1 for our new Genocide unit- 'Three Characters and a Tragedy'. This is due to be read for Tuesday, please.
-Finish the film- 'One Peace at a Time' and discuss
-Start discussing your Action Projects in this course- I have a BIG handout for you:)

1. Your homework- what did you learn from your review of the UN Charter of Rights and Freedoms?

2. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms...what happens when people have different views of which rights are RIGHT? Link to Insite- the weekend's editorial in the Globe and Mail. (handout) (discussion)

3. If time, One Peace at a Time, continued- please be noting the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child that the filmmaker Turk Pipkin covers as we go along.
